The Consortium of Life Sciences Societies of China Association for Science and Technology (hereinafter: referred to as the “CAS”) is the first consortium of learned societies under the China Association for Science and Technology (CAS). It is a non-independent legal entity and a cooperative organization jointly initiated by 11 national learned societies in the field of life sciences affiliated with CAS.

The founding conference was held in Beijing on October 15, 2015. Leaders of CAS attended the founding conference and emphasized the status, role, and significance of the Consortium.
